Great eye! It is indeed from there! I was lucky enough to be attending a space gala event for work (like, my day job, career gig). Be honest, how often do you visit your neighbor museum?? :)
That’s pretty cool! We actually go to that one often haha, my son loves space and I do as well, so it’s a great place to walk around and look, check the engines, talk to an astronaut, etc.
Yeah, it’s a wild new world with CRISPR and I’m only scratching the surface with this episode and the upcoming Friday’s. I’d love to hear a takeaway or two from your research!
The part about telomeres caught my eye. I first learned about them when I studying up on brain stuff to attempt to help my rescue dog who had trauma-related focal seizures. We didn't ever find a solution but that's when I learned about how trauma shortens telomeres. <3 <3
Oh gosh, sorry to hear about your poor pup! Really sweet of you to study up on neuroscience to help them (I can for sure relate to that). Sounds like from your substack you probably have done quite a bit of research about trauma/mental health. Love to hear what you think about my portrayal of the deep denial my protagonist has been in—if you have time/if the story sparks your interest of course! Always looking to improve how I write about mental health. :)

Haha the way you describe it sounds like space Zelda
Pretty close to it considering how much time we can spend there at a time hahaha
I've been researching Cas9 for awhile now and I've very optimistic about the capabilities.

Hey, was meaning to ask, where is your main photo from? It looks a lot like Air and Space museum near me.
